Doctoral student Mr. Tanmay Keluskar at the Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo
As a part of the Poles Together project, doctoral student Tanmay Keluskar visited the Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo. During his visit, he used a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to acquire Cathdoluminasance (CL) and Secondary Electron (SE) images of zircon mounts from Labrador, Canada, and Greenland. Dr. Lars Eivind Augland, Principal Investigator of project GRIEG, and his post-doctoral student Dr. Rikke Vestergaard were supervising Mr Tanmay Keluskar during his tasks at the university. Images acquired during this trip will be used to interpret the textures of zircon, which will help to understand the ages of the zircon and its significance in geological context.
